When artist Lyle Hehn set out to create this design, a whirligig of ideas spun through his head. Tattoos, Halloween eye patches, 1950s hangover slang: “Man, that cat was sportin’ a beer atom.” And what twirled through his mind coalesced in his hands as this cool cat emerged, centered at the nucleus of Lyle’s take on McMenamins’ beer atom.
