As All Hallows Eve quietly approaches us with brilliantly colored trees and crisp air, it is time to delve into the darker bodied beers. Let the Black Widow weave over your palate - this dark-as-night porter is full of roasty notes that are balanced with wheat and flaked barley malts to smooth out the body. Black Widow will also entice you with soft notes of black licorice, perfect to kick off a holiday weekend full of spirits, ghosts and ghouls.
This special limited-edition ale was first brewed on October 15, 1991 at the Thompson Brewery. This year Black Widow celebrates it's 21st year as an anticipated Halloween staple, and will be pouring mid October until it's gone.
