Light-golden in color, the 2008 Chardonnay is very aromatic, with ripe pear, lemon bar, apple tart and melon aromas jumping out the glass. With a slightly creamy mouth-feel and balanced acidity, the fruit flavors linger on through the finish and end with a hint of vanilla.

The Edgefield Winery is located at the mouth of the Columbia River Gorge at McMenamins Edgefield, former site of the historic Multnomah County Poor Farm (ca. 1911). Our Chardonnay blends the tropical fruit flavors from grapes grown at warmer sites in the Rogue and Columbia valleys with the higher acidity and lively, lean flavors of pear and apple from fruit grown in cooler Yamhill County.
